About Us
Square Pegs Learning Center is a non-profit, private school providing a personalized academic, and functional learning environment for students diagnosed with Autism or other disabilities who may benefit from a non-traditional learning environment. We provide flexible schedules, year-round learning environment, early learning, low student to teacher ratio, social skills groups, functional communication training, personalized one-on-one instruction at each students individual level, and community outings.
We use research-based academic strategies in conjunction with applied behavior analysis to decrease disruptive behaviors and increase learning. We accept the FES-UA scholarship from Step up for Students and are also a voluntary pre-kindergarten for special instructional services (VPK SIS) provider.
Square Pegs Learning Center is a safe, supportive, positive learning environment. Our trained staff facilitates learning by utilizing technology in tandem with hands-on instruction. SPLC uses broad-spectrum goal setting, while identifying and prioritizing instruction in small manageable increments. We build on successes using data driven strategies to increase student learning in many areas, including: academics, communication, social skills, and coping skills resulting in an increase in overall quality of life.
